Message	which is very good ..and the damage does look repairable ..if they total the car ( which it doesn't look like enuff damage ) -- I would buy it back and fix it and pocket the cash -- so that your insurance rates don't go up -- I would try to get legal documentation that the light was malfunctioning. You don't want to get sued for running a red light. You may want to contact a lawyer to determine if the state / department of transportation is liable. They may have received calls about the malfunctioning light already which means a DOT crew or officer should have been there to direct traffic.
